This rear brake caliper kit was designed for the XB to achieve two distinct goals. First, reduce the weight of the rear brake assembly. The stock caliper, pads and bracket weigh a hefty 1275 grams. Our kit weighs in at 535 grams complete. Second, improve the aestetics of the OEM assembly without sacrificing performance. AP Racing calipers are of very high quality and have an excellent reputation in both motorcycle and auto racing environments. It is a two piston design. The bracket is made here at GSD of 7075 T6 aluminum and is hung below the swing arm like many of the rear brake calipers that you would find on high end import race model motorcycles. The addition of a Goodridge brake line in either Stainless or Carboline completes this bolt on kit. The OEM rear brake master cylinder is retained. All necessary hardware is included.
